Assam Police CID, which is in charge of Junmoni Rabha's death probe, summoned the two officials to their office...
Digital Desk: Abhajyoti Rabha and Rupjyoti Kalita, the two corrupt Assam Police officials, arrived at the Crime Investigation Department (CID) office on Tuesday. Both officials' identities surfaced during the investigation into the killing of Morikolong sub-inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha.
According to the information gathered, the Assam Police CID, which has been tasked with investigating the matter, has summoned the two officers to their office.
According to sources, the two officers were forced to confront the mother of the deceased Junmoni Rabha. Meanwhile, Junmoni's mother stated afterwards, "I have lost all faith in the government and the police." Due to the involvement of police authorities, a fair investigation was not conducted. My days have been quite difficult."
It should be noted that the driver of the truck Sumit Kumar Pal involved in the May 16 accident that killed Junmoni Rabha was given bail last month. He had surrendered to the Assam Police CID during the ongoing investigation, after which he was arrested.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of the Jakhalabandha Police Station, the incident's interrogating official, disclosed details concerning the case involving Junmoni Rabha's death. In connection with the subject, a case numbered 84/23 had been registered under sections 279/427/304(A) of the IPC.
Notably, Charges of rush and negligence, damage, and causing death by negligence were filed against the driver, all of which are bailable offences, indicating that police are treating Junmoni Rabha's death as an accident rather than a premeditated act, as hinted at several points during the ongoing investigation.
