Elephant safari begins for the season at Assam's Kaziranga National Park

Digital Desk: The Kaziranga National Park officially began the elephant safari on Wednesday in its Kohora and Bagori forest areas.

The National Park Director officially inaugurated the safari, and both residents and visitors witnessed the monumental ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The elephant safari offers tourists a chance to view a wide range of wild animals in their natural habitat.

Since its October 15 launch for the current season, the park has drawn over 16,000 visitors.

The safari, which started with elephants from the Bagori forest range, is expected to become a major tourist attraction.

"We are glad that our elephants are ready. Elephant safaris in the Kohora and Bagori ranges have begun. Many tourists have visited today including foreigners. We are hoping that they would find it interesting," stated Sonali Ghosh, the director of Kaziranga National Park.

A tourist stated, "I wasn't nervous or afraid. It was good, really pleasant. Though not in India, this is my first trip to Assam. I've spent three nights here."

"We are here to view the rhinos and the park. The park is beautiful. Such a lovely, quiet park. It is wonderful outside. saw deer, boars, and rhinos. It's my first time both in the nation and here, so it's unique, It's a privilege to be here and have the opportunity to see the park," another visitor remarked.

"We saw wild boar, lots of deer, we saw rhinoceroses, birds, and lots of elephants," added a visitor from Canada.
