    Heroin worth crores seized in Assam's Karimganj, one held
    An important step has been taken in the continuous attempts to stop the illegal drug trade in the area with the seizure of the car and the subsequent recovery of the heroin.


    Digital Desk: Authorities in the Cachar district of Karimganj intercept a car in the Kaisthagram area, and seize heroin worth crores of rupees. 

    Police officers, led by Superintendent of Police Parth Pratim Das, found 601.83 grams of heroin stashed in a secret compartment of the car. When the vehicle was pulled over, it was purportedly coming from Mizoram and was registered under the license plate AS/10/G/0379. 

    An important step has been taken in the continuous attempts to stop the illegal drug trade in the area with the seizure of the car and the subsequent recovery of the heroin.

    After being taken into custody, the detained person—whose name is now unknown—signals that those engaged in drug trafficking will be investigated swiftly. Heroin worth crores was seized, demonstrating the scope of the operation and its ability to reduce drug supply into the region. 

    The incident took place in Patharkandi, highlighting the pervasiveness of these illicit operations.
