"Jitu Das is not my PA," says Assam state BJP chief
There are multiple images of Jitu Das with key BJP officials and politicians on his Facebook page...

Digital Desk: Assam State President of BJP Bhabesh Kalita stated on Wednesday that Jitu Das, who was summoned by the Diphu Police in relation to the supari syndicate, is not his Personal Assistant (PA).

After learning that his PA was being questioned by the Diphu Police in connection with the Supari Syndicate case, Kalita stated, "I do not have a PA by the name of Jitu as claimed by various media reports. The media personnel should have used caution before making this statement or should have inquired as to whether Jitu Das was my PA. I have never had a PA by this name in my whole political career. I don't have Jitu Das, but I do have an assistant named Rohit Kumar Baruah. Only ministers have PA and I am not a minister.”

However, there are multiple images of Jitu Das with key BJP officials and politicians on his Facebook page, the majority of which include Bhabesh Kalita. The state BJP president responded, “Several people join our party and help us in the events we organize. They greet us with gamosa and click photos with us so it is natural that he might also have photos of the same.”

Kalita argued that Das was not his personal assistant and urged journalists to verify information before broadcasting or releasing stories that would mislead the public.

Meanwhile, an image of Jitu Das wearing an identity card that read "PA to State President of Assam" emerged.

Although Kalita denied him to his PA, the photo that has emerged now revealed otherwise.

BJP leader Lachit Gogoi, who was summoned, confessed that Jitu Das was engaged in the case, leading to the Diphu Police calling for Jitu Das.
