Digital Desk: In response to the shocking triple murder case that occurred in Golaghat's Hindi School Road, an 8-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted by the Superintendent of Police (SP) on Thursday. The SIT has been entrusted with the crucial task of unearthing the truth behind the horrific incident that left three members of a family dead.

The SIT will be operating under the supervision of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mrinmoy Das. The formation of the specialized team aims to bring clarity to the tragic events that unfolded on Monday afternoon.

As per the available information, the victims of the brutal murder have been identified as Sanjeev Ghosh, Junu Ghosh, and Sanghamitra Ghosh. The details surrounding their demise are chilling, leaving the entire community in shock and distress.

The prime accused in the case, Nazibur Rahman, surrendered himself to the police along with a 9-month-old infant who had gone missing following the incident. It is believed that Rahman allegedly eloped with the child after committing the heinous crime.

In a surprising turn of events, the sole survivor of the family, Ankita Ghosh, came forward to reveal harrowing details about the ordeal. She stated that she had previously filed a complaint at the police station in 2022, accusing the mother of the prime accused of attacking her. According to Ankita, she was subjected to physical assault, with the mother pulling her hair while the elder brother, Hizbul Rahman, kicked her stomach.

However, Ankita expressed her disappointment with the police, claiming that no action was taken at that time, despite her reaching out for help. Her revelations sparked outrage, leading to the detention of both Hizbul Rahman and his mother, Saleha Begum, for questioning. Hizbul Rahman had been on the run since the incident occurred, further fueling suspicions regarding his involvement.

The formation of the SIT is expected to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into the case. With experienced officers and a dedicated team at the helm, authorities hope to uncover the truth behind the triple murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.
