    from April 14 to April 15 (till 8 pm) causing eight deaths, according to the
    Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

    of the Dibrugarh district while three people were killed in the Barpeta
    district and one in the Goalpara district. A total of 20,286 people in 592
    villages of Goalpara, Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Kamrup (Metro), Nalbari, Chirang,
    Darrang, Cachar, Golaghat, Karbi Anglong, Udalguri, Kamrup district have
    affected in a severe storm hit the districts," said the ASDMA report

    a young girl, were killed after bamboo trees were uprooted in the Tingkhong
    area of Dibrugarh district by the storm. A 15-year-old minor boy died in the
    Matia area in the Goalpara district due to lightning.

    The ASDMA report also

    institutions in 12 districts were also affected by heavy rainfall and severe
    storm.
