    Assam Flood Situation Remains Grim: Over 6.3 Lakh Affected Amid Floods & Landslides
    A total of 17 individuals were reported dead following floods and landslides over the past few days.

    Digital Desk: More than 6.3 lakh people across 22 districts of Assam have been affected due to the current flood situation in the state.

    A total of 17 individuals were reported dead following floods and landslides over the past few days.

    An Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) report said that a total of 6,33,114 people in 69 revenue circles and 1,506 villages in 22 districts have been affected by the ongoing floods in the state.

    As per report, Sribhumi district is the worst-hit district in Assam, followed by Nagaon and Cachar.

    The Brahmaputra River is flowing above the danger level at different locations across the state.

    The authorities have suspended several road, railway, and ferry services at several locations.

    Embankments, roads, and other infrastructures were destroyed by the rising water in several districts including Dhemaji, South Salmara, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Darrang, Nagaon, Karbi Anglong, Kamrup, Biswanath, Tinsukia, Karbi Anglong West.

    The authorities are working tirelessly to provide assistance and relief measures during this grim situation.
