    Assam: TMC President Ripun Bora visits Dima Hasao to attend leaders, workers meet

    It was the first time when Ripun Bora visited Dima Hasao after becoming TMC president.



    Digital Desk: Assam TMC president Ripun Bora
    visited Dima Hasao along with Arun Jyoti Bhuiyan, General Secretary Assam TMC
    and M Shanti Kumar Shing, Secretary i/c Dima Hasao district on.



    It was the first time when Ripun Bora visited
    Dima Hasao after becoming TMC president.



    During their visit they inaugurated the TMC
    district party Office at Mahadev Tilla, after that they attended the leaders
    and workers meet at District Library Auditorium Haflong where around hundred numbers
    of people newly joined the TMC party.



    Talking at the meeting Bora said that 3
    months ago when they joined TMC at that time they never thought that the TMC
    will be accepted so widely by the people of hilly area. 

    Regarding the Rajya
    Sabha election and recent Presidential election he mentioned that the present
    BJP government has destroyed the democracy of the country, as elections have
    become a market for the government. He added that the ED, CBI, Income tax
    departments are being misused by the present government as the said government
    is trying to finish the oppositions by using these central agencies.



    Moreover, he mentioned about the Chief
    Minister of Assam Sri Himanta Biswa Sharma that Sharma said that the Assam
    government will be an opposition-free government and now it's proved the opposition’s
    parties MLAs were bought in recent Presidential election.



    He also criticized the government for
    the recent GST imposed on eighteen items, he said it's a matter of grief that
    the items like flattened rice, puffed rice, curd, education stationery items, and even coffins also GST has been imposed. The present government is only
    left to impose GST on people's death, air, and rain which are naturally gifted.
