    Bandhan Bank opens largest money vault in North East
    MSME and Currency vault in Guwahati to assist businesses with cash management

    Digital Desk: Bandhan Bank has opened Guwahati's largest money vault which is also the largest money lockbox ever opened by a banking institution in the North East. 

    This is the second money box in the bank and I t will help the bank handle cash for regional branches and ATMs. This currency project will provide cash (currency notes) while also supporting the North East's overall financial ecosystem.

    The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India Josh J. Kattur, Sanjeev Singh Regional Director of North Eastern States and Reserve Bank of India Guwahati, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh Bandhan Bank Managing Director and CEO , and other top officials. 

    Bandhan Bank has over 2.6 million customers in Assam. Bandhan Bank serves the banking needs of the people of Assam through a broad network of over 472 banking branches. In the current fiscal year, the bank plans to open 551 new branches across India, out of which 20 branches would be in Assam.

    "Assam has been a major market for Bandhan Bank for many years," stated Chandra Shekhar Ghosh, Managing Director and CEO of Bandhan Bank. 

    "More than 2.6 million clients in the state have placed their confidence and love in us. Because of our extensive distribution throughout Assam and the rest of the North East, Guwahati was an essential site for our cash chest. The introduction of this currency chest demonstrates our commitment to the development of Assam and India's North Eastern states." Ghosh added.
