CSK skipper MS Dhoni drops big hint on IPL future: Check here
Dhoni put an end to rumours regarding his future after leading CSK to their fifth IPL title by announcing earlier that he intended to return to the IPL in 2024.

Digital Desk: The legend MS Dhoni of Indian cricket, who captained the Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL championship in 2023, shared an important update regarding his knee injury and his anticipated return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. Dhoni's IPL 2023 batting contributions were restricted because of his ongoing knee problem. After winning the title, he had knee surgery, and he's now sharing updates on his recovery.

On October 26, the 42-year-old former captain revealed that his knee surgery went well and that he is recovering steadily and without any problems. He will feel much better by November, medical doctors have assured him. In order to get back his fitness, Dhoni is presently undergoing rehabilitation.

"Knee has survived the surgery and is undergoing the rehabilitation phase. The doctor told me you would feel much better by November. But no problem in day-to-day routine," said Dhoni.

Dhoni stressed that his main objective was never just to be known as a great cricket player, in addition to talking about his physical state. Rather, he often emphasised the significance of leaving a positive legacy as a good human being. "You know, I was never into the idea that people should remember me as a good cricket player," he said. You know, I want to be known as a good human being, I always said. As you are aware, becoming a good person is a journey that lasts till death."

Dhoni put an end to rumours regarding his future after leading CSK to their fifth IPL title by announcing earlier that he intended to return to the IPL in 2024. He thanked the CSK supporters for their love and support, saying it gave him extra desire to play.

"Circumstantially, it's the best time to announce retirement.. Saying "thank you" and retiring is what I find easiest. But, the support that I've received from CSK supporters, it would be a treat for them to watch me play for one more season," he said at a Narendra Modi Stadium ceremony following CSK's May victory over Gujarat Titans.
