India vs West Indies T20I series: Hardik Pandya to lead Team India; Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli rested

The final two T20Is will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida,

Digital Desk: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been rested as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies on Wednesday, July 5.

Since India has given many young stars a chance, several big stars have not been picked. Tilak Varma, a left-handed batsman, received his first call-up to the national team after excelling for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

The Orange Cap winner from IPL 2023, Yashasvi Jaiswal, was also chosen. With players like Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, and Arshdeep Singh in it, the fast bowling attack is a young one.

Along with the all-around option of Axar Patel, the three specialist spinners are Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, and Kuldeep Yadav.

Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan, two wicketkeepers chosen by India, are on the team. Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill, who have both made significant advancements in the last 1.5 years, are also on the team. The series' captain has been announced as Hardik Pandya.

From August 3 to August 13, India and West Indies will play a T20I series. The first game of the series will be played at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, and the second and third games will be played at Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The final two T20Is will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, once the two sides have travelled to the United States. Earlier this week, the Indian teams for the ODI and Test series were announced.
