    Digital Desk: Star Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly bought a new apartment in Mumbai worth 5 crores INR in the Ten BKC project at Bandra East. The contract for this 1,110-square-foot apartment that is still under construction was completed on January 7, 2024, according to a Money Control report.

    After making an undefeated 214 in the third Test match between India and England in Rajkot, young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal of India continues scaling up the Test rankings. On Wednesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) updated its rankings for Test batters, and Jaiswal moved up 14 spots to take 15th place.
     
    The 22-year-old left-hander achieved a new career-high rating of 699. He also became one of an elite group of seven cricketers, including two Indians, Vinod Kambli and Virat Kohli, to reach double hundreds in two consecutive Test matches.

    Shubman Gill has advanced three spots to 35th place after nearly hitting a century in the second innings, while captain Rohit Sharma has climbed one spot to 12th place after scoring a century in the first innings as well. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel, who are making their debuts, are ranked 75th and 100th, respectively.
     
    Ravindra Jadeja, who was named Player of the Match in Rajkot, moved up to 34th place among batters with his innings-opening knock of 112. In addition, he strengthened his place atop the all-rounder's rankings, rising from 416 to a career-high 469 rating points. 
     
    With the crucial Test victory, Jadeja not only reached a new career-high rating but also hit a century and took seven wickets for the match, keeping his position as the top-ranked all-rounder in Test cricket.

    After scoring a century against South Africa, his seventh in seven Test matches, Kane Williamson cemented his place atop the batting rankings.

     Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin moved up to second place on the Test bowling rankings, bringing him closer to Indian teammate Jasprit Bumrah at the top. Jadeja, on the other hand, shot up three spots to sixth place after taking five wickets in England's second innings in Rajkot.
