    In Saturday's World Cup
Stage 1 final, the Indian men's compound archery team of Abhishek Verma, Rajat
Chauhan, and Aman Saini defeated France by one point to win gold. However,
India missed out on a second medal after Verma and Muskan Kirar lost 156-157 to
Croatia in the bronze medal playoff.

    In the compound men's team
final, Jean Philippe Boulch, Quentin Baraer and Adrien Gontier defeated the
Indian trio 56-57 in the first end.

    The Indian team improved
slowly on their first-end score by one point, but the French team had a
near-perfect set of 59/60 comprised of three four 10s and arrows closer to the
center (X) to extend their lead (113-116).

    After trailing by three
points in the third set, the Indians showed amazing resilience, drilling in a
perfect end of 60/60 with two Xs to win 60-58 and reduce the deficit by one
    point (173-174).

    After that, the Indian
trio shot a 59 to win by one, while the under-pressure Frenchmen managed a 57
    to lose by one point.

    On Sunday, India's
recurve mixed team pair of Tarundeep Rai and Ridhi Phor will be vying for a
second gold after having defeated Spain in the semi-final 5-3.
