    For the past 24 Years, Sachin has carried the responsibilities of Indian Cricket on his shoulder, and he is one of the greatest players one has ever seen.

    1| Tendulkar was ten years old when India won the World Cup in 1983, and it was a turning point in his life that inspired him to take up Cricket.


    2| Sachin Tendulkar's father, Ramesh Tendulkar, was a fan of singer Sachin Dev Burman and chose the name Sachin Tendulkar for his third son.




    3| Tendulkar wanted to be a fast bowler when he was 14 and even went to the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai. Dennis Lilee, on the other hand, turned him down.


    4| Tendulkar first made a name for himself in school cricket when he and Vinod Kambli set a record 664-run partnership for his school, Sharadashram Vidyamandir. In the innings, Tendulkar scored 326 runs.


    5| Ramakant Achrekar coached and mentored Tendulkar. During his adolescence, his coach would challenge him to go the entire session without leaving, and if he succeeded, the coach would give him a coin. Tendulkar owns 13 of these coins.


    6| Tendulkar worked as a ball boy at the Wankhede Stadium during India and Zimbabwe's 1987 World Cup match.


    7| Tendulkar was so enamoured with his cricket equipment as a child that he kept it by his bedside when he slept.


    8| Tendulkar scored centuries in all three of his debut matches, the Ranji Trophy, the Duleep Trophy, and the Irani Trophy.




    9| Sunil Gavaskar gave him a pair of ultra-light pads when he was 14 years old to console him for not receiving the Mumbai Cricket Association's 'Best junior cricketer award.' Sachin used the same pads when he made his Test debut in 1989.


    10| Tendulkar was only 15 when he scored his first-class century in the Ranji Trophy. He was not out after scoring precisely one hundred runs. He became the youngest Indian to reach three figures in first-class Cricket.


    11| Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly met for the first time at an Under-15 camp. During a show, Ganguly revealed that as a 14-year-old, Tendulkar was so obsessed with batting in the nets that he had to be dragged out of the nets by the coach, who told him that 'camp is for others too.'


    12| During this time, Ganguly and Tendulkar shared a room, and Tendulkar used to walk around his room at midnight, which scared Ganguly. Later, it was revealed that he had a habit of sleep-walking in the middle of the night.


    13| Tendulkar once filled in as a fielder for Pakistan's Test team. In his biography 'Playing it my way,' Tendulkar says of the incident, "I'm not sure whether Imran Khan has any idea whether I fielded for Pakistan."


    14| Sachin Tendulkar and Waqar Younis made their Test debuts for their respective countries in the exact Test match in 1989.

    18| Only after this tour did he meet his wife Anjali for the first time at the Mumbai airport. It was a coincidental meeting, and Anjali had no idea who Tendulkar was at the time.


    19| Tendulkar was six years older than Anjali. They did, however, like each other and dated for a few years before marrying on May 24, 1995.




    20| Tendulkar made his county debut when he was 19, making him the youngest Indian. He played for Yorkshire and was the club's youngest overseas player.


    21| Tendulkar's first car was a Maruti 800, which he purchased after his India debut.

    34| On the eve of India's match against Zimbabwe in the 1999 World Cup, Tendulkar received the heartbreaking news that his father had died. Sachin left for India to attend his father's funeral, missing the game against Zimbabwe. India suffered a humiliating defeat in the match.


    35| However, he returned for India's next match against Kenya, where he scored an emotional 140 runs.


    36| In 2002, Formula One legend Michael Schumacher presented him with a 360 Moderna Ferrari.


    37| In 2003, Tendulkar made a cameo appearance in the Bollywood film 'Stumped'.


    38| In 2004, Tendulkar was diagnosed with Tennis Elbow, a type of elbow injury. He had surgery in 2005, but he couldn't even pick up a plastic bat and fell into depression during his recovery, believing his career was over.
