Digital Desk: South Africa defeated India in a low-scoring game on Sunday that lasted till the final over of the T20 World Cup 2022. Now, the Men in Blue will aim to recoup when they will face Bangladesh in a high-stakes match in Adelaide on Wednesday (November 2). However, the rain god may not be in favour when the game begins, as it has been for many other World Cup matches.

The official weather forecast by the Australian Meteorological Department shows that there is a 60% probability of rain on Wednesday evening in Adelaide, and as the match is scheduled to begin at 6.30 pm, it implies that the match is likely to be affected by rain.

"Cloudy Medium (60%) chance of showers, most likely in the evening. Winds southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h," the weather update states.

According to Accuweather, the weather will be cold, with cloud cover of more than 70% at the start of the game. The rain is expected to begin around 8 pm followed by another round of showers at 11 pm.  Temperatures are forecast to be around 12 degrees Celsius.

In fact, according to the forecast, there is a significant possibility of showers and thunderstorms with hail on Tuesday evening. Consequently, it is anticipated that the pitch would be wet when the game begins.

"Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers, becoming less likely this evening. The chance of a thunderstorm during the morning and afternoon. Possible hail. Winds southwesterly 35 to 50 km/h," the weather update reads.

India is currently on four points from three games, as they lost their game against South Africa after winning their opening two matches against Pakistan and Netherlands. Bangladesh, on the other side, has four points from three games, having lost to South Africa but winning to the Netherlands and Zimbabwe. India is second in the group with a higher net run rate, and a win would almost certainly guarantee a spot in the final.
