Digital Desk: In the Singapore Open 2022 final on Sunday, China's Wang Zhiyi was thoroughly defeated by India's top badminton player, PV Sindhu.
In the summit match, the Indian superstar defeated Zhiyi 21-9 11-21 21-15.
Sindhu is the third Indian overall and the second Indian woman to win the Singapore Open.
In the past, the titles for the women's and men's singles competitions have been won by Saina Nehwal (2010) and B Sai Praneeth (2017), respectively.
Sindhu said with a wide grin, "Many thanks to everyone who has been encouraging. "Singapore is a nice city; it's nice to be here."

She is the second Indian woman to win the Singapore Open, 12 years after Saina Nehwal.
