Digital Desk: Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that his country had been left to face Russia on its own after Kremlin launched an attack that murdered 130 Ukrainians on the first day.
“We have been left alone to protect our state,” Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a video message to the nation.
“Who is willing to join us in the fight? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone. Who is willing to ensure Ukraine’s NATO membership? Everyone is terrified.” he added.
According to Zelensky, over 137 Ukrainians, both military and civilians, have been killed since the invasion of Russia began in the wee hours on Thursday. He added that another 316 people had been injured.
Zelensky also claimed that Russian “sabotage forces”, after entering Kyiv’s capital, asked the residents to be alert and adhere to a curfew.
Further, the Ukraine's President stated that he and his family would stay in Ukraine only despite Russia categorising him as ‘target number one.
