PM Modi also held a meeting with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of the Naval Staff on Saturday at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence in New Delhi.

Digital Desk: Amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh in Delhi on Sunday.

PM Modi also held a meeting with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of the Naval Staff on Saturday at his Lok Kalyan Marg residence in New Delhi.

Last week, PM Modi met Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.

While an official readout of the meeting is yet to release to the media, it is expected that the meeting has been a part of discussion over a response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

In another severe action against Pakistan, the Indian Government has announced a ban on direct and indirect import of all goods from the country with immediate effect in the interest of national security and public policy.

On Saturday morning, India has also suspended all categories of inbound mails and parcels with Pakistan via air and surface routes with immediate effect.

In a high-level meeting earlier this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave 'complete freedom' to Indian armed forces to respond to the Pahalgam terror attack, that killed 27 people in Jammu & Kashmir.

Earlier, PM Modi also warned that India would pursue the terrorists involved in the deadly attack to the "ends of the earth".

The Pahalgam terror attack led to strong diplomatic and military responses, with India vowing to punish those responsible, including India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and closure of the Wagah-Attari trade route.
