The 32-year-old said he joined Bigg Boss to gain visibility and find personal clarity
Digital Desk: Renowned music composer and singer Amaal Mallik took a different turn as he entered into the reality show of Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 19 , , marking his debut in the television space. Known for chartbusters like Sooraj Dooba Hain and Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon, Amaal said he joined the show to build a personal identity beyond his music.
Ahead of the launch of the show, Amaal said he does not get recognised after being in the industry almost 10 years. . “I want people to associate my face with my music. Many still confuse me with Armaan Malik, and sometimes even with actors like Aditya Roy Kapur, Arjun Kapoor, or Vicky Kaushal. I want to clear that confusion,” he shared in a media interaction.
The 32-year-old stated that he chose to participate in Bigg Boss in order to have visibility and get clarity in his life. He confessed that his honesty has made him lose projects, however, he does not stay focused on the failure. “Even if a producer throws me out of a film, I take it as a chance to go on holiday. I don’t take rejection personally,” he said.
On stage with Salman Khan, Amaal also opened up about a past social media post where he mentioned cutting ties with his family. He acknowledged that fame may have clouded his judgment at the time and expressed hope that his Bigg Boss journey would help him heal and work on his mental well-being.
