Digital Desk: A 60-year-old Argentine lawyer named Alejandra Marisa Rodriguez made history as she was crowned the Miss Universe for the Buenos Aires province. She was the first lady in her age group to receive such a prominent beauty title.

She competed in the April 24 beauty competition alongside 34 other contestants, ages 18 to 73.

 Who is Alejandra Marisa Rodriguez?

Alejandra Marisa Rodriguez hails from Buenos Aires Province in Argentina, specifically the city of La Plata. Alejandra started a journalism profession after high school and later pursued a legal degree. She revealed to a network of Argentine television that she moved into a position as a hospital's legal counselor.

Alejandra believed she had aged out of the global beauty contest for a long time, but her opinion changed when the rules changed in 2023.

According to an article in the New York Post, competitors for Miss Universe in 1952 had to be between the rigorous ages of 18 and 28. They needed to be childless and single. Nonetheless, last year's contest decided that irrespective of any other circumstance, women between the ages of 18 and 73 were permitted to compete.

Alejandra Rodriguez, whose striking beauty is attracting attention, attributes her appearance to her lifestyle, claiming to follow a strict diet and be active.

She told the media, "The most important thing is to live a healthy lifestyle, eat well, and exercise."
