Digital Desk: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned expelled Congress Youth leader Angkita Dutta on Wednesday (August 30,2023).

Angkita, the late veteran Congress leader Anjan Dutta's daughter, has been summoned to appear before the CBI court in connection with the Saradha Scam today.

Dutta, who is the director of Anubhuti Printers and Publications Pvt Ltd, which sprang from the then Saradha Publications Pvt Ltd, received a CBI summons for the funding case for publishing the Bengali daily 'Sakalbela' at the press in Guwahati between 2012 and 2013.

It should be noted that Dutta was expelled from the party after she was unable to provide evidence that Indian Youth Congress chief BV Srinivas harassed her.

After she made the claim against the president, the party issued her a show cause notice; however, they were dissatisfied with the reply they received and dismissed her from the party.
