Assam's Baksa district secured the top position with 94.21 percent in the Arts stream, while West Karbi Anglong and South Salmara emerged as the top performers in the Science and Commerce streams respectively.

Digital Desk: As the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examination results 2025 were announced on Wednesday, April 30, three districts of Assam emerged as the best-performing districts in the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams, declared by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).

Assam's Baksa district secured the top position with 94.21 percent in the Arts stream, while West Karbi Anglong and South Salmara emerged as the top performers in the Science and Commerce streams respectively.

West Karbi Anglong district secured the top position with 100.00 percent in the Science stream, while  Sivasagar took the second position with a pass percentage of 97.13.

South Salmara district emerged as the top performer with 100.00 percent in the Commerce stream. Assam's West Karbi Anglong district secured third position in the commerce stream with a pass percentage of 97.14.

Apart from securing the top position in the Arts stream, Baksa district has also performed well in the Science and Commerce streams. The district has secured second position with 98.20 percent in the Commerce stream and third in the Science with 95.66 percent.

The pass percentage for different streams are: 

Science (84.88%), Arts (81.03), and Commerce (82.18%).

In the Science stream, a total of 56,909 students appeared for the exam and 48,309 students passed.

In the Arts stream, 2,26,756 students appeared and 1,83,745 students passed.

A total of 17,746 students appeared and 14,584 passed in the Commerce stream. 

The HS Final Examination commenced on February 13 and concluded on March 17, 2025.
