Digital Desk: Assam Police has achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending the accused, Biswajit Sarkar, within just four hours of a murder at Boha Bordoloni.
The victim, Liton Sarkar from Jagiroad, was found murdered and abandoned in a field near Boha Bordoloni, close to Mayong.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim's family, the police launched an investigation and arrested Biswajit Sarkar, a resident of Lakhindhap 3 No. Oujari village under Khetri Police Station.
The accused was detained while attempting to flee from Jagiroad Railway Station after committing the crime.
Although the exact motive behind the murder is yet to be determined, preliminary police investigations suggest that a love triangle may have been the cause of the incident.
Biswajit Sarkar is currently in police custody at Mayong.
The victim's family has demanded a thorough investigation to ensure that all individuals involved in the crime are brought to justice.
