Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the state received investment proposals worth Rs 40,000 crore in the last three-and-half years. Speaking at the inauguration of a new bottling plant of Reliance Consumer Products Ltd's (RCPL) Campa Cola range in Guwahati, CM Sarma added that many of these projects are in various stages of implementation at present.
The plant, inaugurated by CM Sarma, spans over 6 lakh square feet and is being developed in collaboration with RCPL's local partner Jericho, one of the largest beverage manufacturing units in the Northeast. It has an initial production capacity of more than 10 crore litres for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and around 18 crore litres for packaged drinking water.

He added, "The atmosphere was not conducive for industrialisation a few years ago. But the situation has changed."
