These efforts ranged from vital family support programs to critical disaster response and inter-agency coordination, underscoring their commitment to both peace and local well-being.
Among the key initiatives was a family counselling session held in Dimapur district under its "Rubaru" programme. The session, themed "Mera Wajood, Suno Meri Awaaz," was facilitated by psychology counsellor Dr. Vandini Setia, who addressed the topic of "Managing Anger Without Guilt." A total of 31 families participated in the interactive event, which officials stated is part of monthly "Rubaru" sessions designed to foster emotional stability and harmony among the families of their personnel.
Earlier, on August 3, the Assam Rifles mounted a swift rescue operation in Kiphire after a landslide struck the Forest Ward area. Working in close coordination with village guards and local village councils, personnel were instrumental in clearing debris and restoring accessibility, demonstrating their readiness to respond to natural calamities and support affected communities.
Beyond these specific interventions, the security force also provided emergency medical assistance in various locations, conducted crucial security coordination meetings with local stakeholders, and organised youth sports events. These diverse activities collectively highlight the Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to strengthen civil-military cooperation and contribute to the overall development and stability of Nagaland.
