The Maligaon flyover opening tomorrow has already been painted bright red with spit stains...

Digital Desk: Spit marks have been spotted on the interior walls of Guwahati's new Maligaon flyover, just days before its official opening on Rakhi Purnima, August 30, 2023.

The Maligaon flyover, the city's most eagerly anticipated constructions, is set to open to the public in a few days, but it has already been smeared bright red with spit stains.

Images went viral on online platforms and were extensively shared on social media, highlighting the awful actions of certain groups of residents who have no regard for sanitation or cleanliness and continue to spit at every opportunity.

The newly made Maligaon flyover was completed recently, as was the artwork used to decorate it. Despite the fact that the artists had earlier requested not to make the flyover dirty before or on the day of the opening, though people didn't seem to care.

However, they had also requested that the administration to install CCTV cameras to avoid such incidents, and it remains to be seen whether the officials follow through on this decision or not.
