Accident Relief and Medical Relief teams have also been rushed to the spot.

Digital Desk: Today, around 11:54 am the Bangalore-Kamakhya AC Superfast Express (Train No. 12251) derailed near Nergundi Station in the Cuttack-Nergundi Railway Section, part of Khurda Road Division under East Coast Railway. A total of Eleven rail coaches went off the tracks.

Fortunately, all passengers have been reported as safe. Senior railway administrators, including the Divisional Railway Manager from Khurda Road and the General Manager from East Coast Railway (ECoR) rushed to the site to check the situation. The accident area was provided with an Accident Relief Train together along  Medical Relief Train, for emergency aid provision.

 Efforts are underway to get the stranded passengers to their destination safely. Authorities continue to investigate the reasons behind the derailment.

The derailment has affected railway operations in this region, leading many trains to be redirected. The railway officials have immediately diverted the 12822 Dhauli Express, alongside the 12875 Neelachal Express, along with the 22606 Purulia Superfast Express.
