Digital Desk: In a significant move to keep the border areas infiltration-free, Assam Police caught a Bangladeshi national and sent back across the border on March 7, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Saturday. The Bangladeshi infiltrator, identified as Ashraful Haque was caught while attempting to cross the Indo-Bangla border illegally.

Taking to X, CM Sarma said, "Monitored. Caught. Pushed Back. That's @assampolice's strong strategy to keep our borders infiltration-free."

Praising the Assam police, the CM added, "Following this strong stance, one Bangladesh national, Ashraful Haque was caught and sent back across the border."

Earlier, four Bangladeshi nationals identified as Rofiqul Kalam, Muskan, Abdul Rahman, and Akhtar Hussain were caught and pushed back by the Assam police while trying to cross the border.
