In addition to filing seven cases about the black sale of tickets, Kolkata Police has so far detained 19 people and taken 108 tickets from their possession.
Digital Desk: Kolkata Police issued a notice to BCCI president Roger Binny seeking details on ticket sales for Sunday's World Cup cricket match between India and South Africa at Eden Gardens, a senior officer said, amid claims of black marketing of the tickets.
The BCCI president was asked to submit documents to the Maidan police station officer looking into accusations about the tickets being blackmarketed, according to the notice that was sent late on Saturday night, he added.
"A notice was sent to the BCCI president, asking him to provide relevant documents and information regarding the sale of tickets either personally or through any competent person of his organisation to the investigating officer of Maidan PS during working hours on Tuesday," the officer stated to PTI.
