The vehicle reportedly hit several pedestrians and an e-rickshaw near Bamunimaidam Railway Colony before attempting to flee the scene.

Digital Desk: On the night of  Goru Bihu, a hit-and-run car accident took place at the  Guwahati's Shraddhanjali Flyover in Zoo Road. A four-wheeler struck various pedestrians along with an e-rickshaw close to Bamunimaidam Railway Colony, then attempted to escape from the accident site. The vehicle sped away violently before striking the divider on the flyover. 

The vehicle involved displayed registration number AS01 EX 5877. Several pedestrians who were walking on the street sustained serious injuries in the incident. Four people were travelling in the vehicle with the driver when the accident took place, before all passengers escaped. 

 The accident during Rongali Bihu created major anger along with widespread worry among citizens of the city. The Guwahati police have started their investigation and are currently tracing the vehicle and those involved in the crash. Eyewitnesses are being questioned, and nearby CCTV footage is under review.
