During the operation, the police recovered 6 kilograms of suspected cannabis (ganja) from his possession.

Digital Desk: The ISBT Outpost under ACP Azara Division supervision made a significant drug arrest near the ISBT at 8:00 AM . The accused  has been identified as  Mahendra Barbaruah, aged 31 years, he is the son of late Hemanta Barbaruah and a resident of  Village No. 7 Santipur, located under Santipur Police Station within Sadiya District.

During the operation,  the police recovered 6 kilograms of cannabis, which appeared to be ganja. All standard legal procedure was followed after the seizure of the contraband. The timely action by law enforcement prevented a significant quantity of narcotics from entering the local market. Authorities continue their legal process against the individual while investigations are being conducted to identify both the supply network and suspected helpers involved in this case. The drug seizures mark another significant victory in the ongoing campaign against the illicit drug business throughout the region.
