Digital Desk: A heart–wrenching incident of suicide has shaken the town of Silapathar,  Assam. On 5th April  at Majarbari Jamalpur village under the Silapathar Police Station, 16-year-old Shivajit Nandi, a  student of 10th standard and son of Sanjit Nandi, hanged himself in  his home during the afternoon. This shocking incident has stirred intense emotions in the  family , leaving residents in disbelief.

 Known as a soft-natured, easy-going and affectionate boy, Shivajit’s extreme step has left many in disbelief,   of what drove him to this point. According to  The Nandi’s family, they charged a 17-year-old from the locality  having a profound romantic connection with Shivajit. As per the report, an argument broke out between the couple through the phone conversation just before Shivajit took the drastic step. 

The twist awaits as the entire incident was captured by CCTV installed at Shivajit’s house. Moreover, Shivajit stabbed himself multiple times while also recording the entire incident on his mobile phone to prove something to his girlfriend. The family points to the girl as the one who caused his mental breakdown and encouraged him to take this extreme step. 

 Shivajit’s mother is inconsolable after losing her only son. The family also filed an FIR at Silapathar Police Station, yet they are not giving the matter due attention. Locals believe that arresting the girl could reveal the entire truth behind the tragic incident.
