As per reports, a resident withdrew a significant amount of money from the State Bank of India at Dorongamela and placed it inside his vehicle before stopping at a nearby tea shop for refreshments.


Within minutes, the situation escalated dramatically. Two miscreants took advantage of the brief moment, smashed the car's window, and fled with the cash, leaving the community alarmed and distressed.


Notably, the entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed at the Army camp in Dorongamela. The police have already retrieved the footage and initiated an investigation into the matter.


The occurrence of such a crime in this bustling market area near the border during the day has raised serious questions about the effectiveness of existing security measures.


Local residents have demanded immediate and stringent action from the authorities to restore confidence and ensure public safety.
