Digital Desk: A tragic incident occurred in Vidyanagar village of Nagarbera, where an elderly couple fell victim to their own son's cruelty over property and land disputes.

The son, identified as Gazibur Rahman, reportedly subjected his parents to relentless physical and mental abuse in an attempt to seize their property.

According to reports, Ayub Ali, the father of the accused, has four sons and three daughters.

Among them, Gazibur has been accused of harassing his parents and even evicting them from their home, forcing the elderly couple to seek refuge in a cowshed.

Unable to endure the abuse, the couple relocated to another house owned by Ayub Ali near the Vidyanagar market.

However, Gazibur allegedly forced them out of that house as well, leaving them with no option but to take shelter on the veranda of the property. When they resisted, the son reportedly assaulted them.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Nagarbera police arrived at the scene, rescued the elderly couple, and admitted them to the Nagarbera Primary Health Center for medical attention.

The appalling act has sparked widespread outrage in the area, with locals condemning the son's actions and demanding justice.

Ayub Ali has lodged an official complaint against his son at the Nagarbera police station, calling for strict legal action.

Residents have urged the police administration to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure appropriate measures are taken against the accused.
