Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said that Hamas considered Trump's plan a recipe for generating chaos and tension in the region.

Digital Desk: The World leaders have reacted to US President Donald Trump's desire to take over the Gaza Strip. US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced his willingness to take over the Gaza Strip during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said that Hamas considered Trump's plan a recipe for generating chaos and tension in the region. He added that such an attempt would not be allowed by the people of Gaza. He called Trump's decision ridiculous and absurd.

Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Secretary-General Hussein al-Sheikh in a post on X said, "The Palestinian leadership affirms its firm position that the two-state solution, in accordance with international legitimacy and international law, is the guarantee of security, stability, and peace."

Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry in a statement said that the stance on the establishment of a Palestinian state was firm and unwavering.

Taking to X, US Senator Chris Murphy said that the US invasion of Gaza would lead to the killing of thousands of US soldiers and decades of war in the Middle East. He called Trump's proposal a bad and sick joke.

Democrat lawmaker Van Hollen said that Trump's proposal would result in the ouster of two million Palestinians from Gaza by force.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that it was an Israeli plan to take full control and displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Chinese Foreign Ministry also opposed Trump's proposal of forced transfer of the people of Gaza.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that President Trump's announcement to take over the Gaza Strip was unacceptable. He warned that such a decision would lead to more conflict in the future.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese supported a two-state solution saying that both Israelis and Palestinians could live with peace and security. However, he refused to comment on Trump's take-over statement.
