Digital Desk: In a horrifying case of domestic violence in Mariani, Assam a three-month-old baby girl was allegedly thrown into a well by her father. The incident took place at the Tekla Line of Dalim Tea Estate in Selenghat and shocked the people who worked there.


It was claimed that Amar Boraik, the father of the infant, was drunk when he got involved in a heated altercation with his wife. He went into such a rage that he snatched the baby from her grandma’s arms and dropped her into a nearby pool of water. The tragic act resulted in the baby’s death.

Local residents immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested Boraik. It was not long after that the baby’s body was found in the well.


The authorities are investigating because the case has been registered as murder. Due to this terrible crime, the public is seeking harsh punishment for the accused and justice for the innocent victim.
