The officials at Dibrugarh University, on the other hand, have made a phone number and an additional email address available to the students in connection with this horrifying ragging incident so that they will never again be victims of ragging.

Digital Desk: Dibrugarh University authorities have expelled four students for their alleged involvement in ragging and have taken measures that the student will not b be able to enroll their name in other universities in India for three years. It is the highest punishment in university law. 

The four boys were identified as 1. Kamleshwar Chutiya, 3rd semester, Department of Mathematics
2. Mousum Phukan, 3rd semester, Department of Applied Geology. 
3. Galb Deka, 3rd Semester, Department of Biology 
4. Pusang Kham Baruah, Center for The Study of The Tai Language

Dr. Amar Upadhyay in Block A replaces the warden of Padmanath Gohain Baruah's Hostel, Pranajit Kalita, Abu Mastatak Hussain in B block in place of Palash Dutta Padmanath, Pranjal Pratim Buragohain has been appointed in place of Dr Dibyajyoti Dutta. 

Moreover, an important meeting of the Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC), chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Jiten Hazarika, was held today at the 'Chintan' meeting room of the Office of the Registrar of Dibrugarh University. 17 students of  PNGB hostels were requested to attend the hearing through a notification issued by the joint registrar.
