Digital Desk: As India responds strongly to Pakistan after the harrowing terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a sense of dread has gripped the Pakistan army.

As India has prepared for a response against Pakistan and its sponsorship of terrorism, the country's Army Chief General Asim Munir sent his family abroad, as per sources.

Several other Pakistani officers have also sent their families to the UK and New Jersey, according to sources.

Several sources also claimed that border villages of Pakistan had been evacuated, anticipating an Indian strike along the border.

India's stance against terrorism has rattled Pakistan's top brass as the neighbouring country reportedly abandoned launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Pakistan-based Islamic terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur is now vacated.  

India's top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have pledged to punish all the terrorists and their backers.

PM Modi on Thursday said that India will pursue Pahalgam attackers to "the ends of the earth."

India has stopped water flow from the Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project on the Chenab River in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. 

Indian security forces have intensified massive search operations in suspected terror hideouts, houses, and sweep lanes in Pulwama, Handwara, Kulgam, and Kathua.  

The Pahalgam terror attack considered one of the deadliest attacks in J&K since the 2019 Pulwama attack, claimed the lives of 28 Indians following an open fire by the Resistance Force (TRF), a local offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba on April 22.
