Guwahati: 28-Year-Old Found Dead in Jaynagar Apartment

Digital Desk: A 28-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside an apartment in the Jaynagar area of Guwahati on Thursday, prompting a police investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Moriyan Chetia, a resident of Sivasagar district. His body was recovered from Room No. 104 on the first floor of the apartment building. According to sources, he had come to Guwahati in connection with business activities.

Police officials from Basistha Police Station reached the spot soon after the incident was reported and have launched an investigation. The exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Sources said Chetia was staying at the flat of Suraj Saikia, which is reportedly owned by Mandeep Gogoi. Apartment security personnel stated that the youth was seen arriving at the premises in a luxury vehicle bearing registration number AS01DJ1449 on Wednesday night.

He was later found dead in his friend’s room, leaving residents shocked. Police are examining all possible angles, and further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
