Digital Desk: Today, on 22nd April, various areas of Guwahati were waterlogged because heavy rains flooded the region after overnight and early morning downpours.
The Indian Meteorological Department expects intense rainstorms covering multiple areas of Assam till 25th April.
Artificial floods in the city led to the complete submergence of the All India BSNL Store alongside the BSNL Colony in Hatigaon, Guwahati.
Staff members of the BSNL store expressed their displeasure, stating that despite drainage system cleanups to prevent waterlogging, the conditions only worsened.
Ironically, areas that had never faced such issues before were flooded after drains were dug in the name of development.
Various important BSNL equipment, together with materials, suffered water damage from heavy water saturation.
The disturbing situation had one touching point that touched everyone's heart. In the flooded streets of Hatigaon, a boy carried his puppy through deep water as he walked while protecting the pet with his arms.
Despite the murky waters and confusion around him, he navigated the helpless puppy remained dry in his arms.
A heartwarming encounter between the boy and his puppy melted hearts to show that kindness exists in difficult times.
