Digital Desk: A shocking kidnapping incident has shaken Hailakandi on July 29. A man named Samsul Haque Mazumder was abducted at gunpoint in broad daylight in front of his house by a group of six miscreants.
Samsul Haque Mazumder, a bus driver and a resident of Gangpar-Dhumkar area of Hailakandi, was abducted right in front of his house.
As per his family's statement, the incident took place around 1:30 pm on Tuesday after a group of six people arrived in front of his house in three vehicles.
They called Samsul outside of his house and abducted him at gunpoint. Meanwhile, the kidnappers have called his family, demanding a ransom of Rs 7 lakhs.
The victim's family has already reported the matter to the police. In response, Hailakandi police has immediately started an investigation to rescue the victim and arrest the miscreants.
