The Ambubachi Mela Management Committee has officially announced the schedule and essential guidelines for the upcoming Ambubachi Mela


Digital Desk: The Ambubachi Mela Management has officially announced the necessary guidelines for the coming Ambubachi Mela to be held in the Kamakhya Temple from 22nd June to 26th June, 2025.


According to the committee, the ritual seclusion of the goddess shall commence on June 22 at 2:56 PM, marking the start of the sacred observance. The door will be closed for devotees from 22nd to 25th June , and it will again open the temple doors in the morning of 26th June after the ceremonial bath and worship rituals of Maa Kamakhaya Devi.


The highlights of the announcement are as follows:-


·        Special darshan (₹501) will be suspended on June 26 and 27.

·        VIP and VVIP darshan will be unavailable from June 21 to June 30.

·        No lodging or food distribution will be allowed around Nilachal Hill during the festival.

·        Devotees will have access to medical aid, drinking water, and rest zones along pedestrian and motor routes.

·        Over 900 personnel, including security guards, scouts, and volunteers, will be deployed to ensure safety and order. More than 500 CCTV cameras will monitor temple surroundings.

·        Additional sanitation staff will be employed to maintain cleanliness.

·        Devotees are advised to leave footwear at designated areas under the Kamakhya flyover, as there are no facilities near the temple.

·        Entry to Nilachal Hill will be restricted after 6:00 PM, and the Pandu-Kamakhya route will remain closed due to landslide risk.

·        Devotees are urged to refrain from carrying or consuming intoxicants, as Nilachal Hill is a no-drug zone.


The committee has requested full cooperation from all pilgrims to ensure a peaceful and spiritually satisfying celebration.
