Digital Desk: The mystery surrounding the murder of Sayera Sultana, a retired school teacher in Panjabari is nearing a resolution.

The confession of the accused, Mohammad Abdul Aziz Laskar, a cleric, has placed the police in a challenging position.

While in police custody, Laskar admitted that the murder stemmed from a dispute over money.

He revealed that the deceased woman had to pay him an amount of money.

However, investigators suspect that Laskar had taken money from the retired school teacher.

The conflict began with a heated argument over financial matters, escalating into violence.

During the altercation, Laskar struck Sayera on her head and then attacked her neck with an iron object as she screamed for help.

After the murder, he opened a cupboard to check some documents while her lifeless body was lying on the ground.

Laskar fled the scene shortly after committing the crime.

Shockingly, later that night, he returned to the woman's residence to dispose of her body.

Police interrogation has revealed Laskar's calculated and criminal mindset.
