However, the group earlier claimed responsibility for the same after the deadly attack.

Digital Desk: Lashkar-e-Taiba affiliate The Resistance Front (TRF) has denied involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack in a statement on Saturday.

However, the group earlier claimed responsibility for the same after the deadly attack. The terror organisation disowned the attack after coming under pressure from its handlers in Pakistan.

In an online post, the TRF said that any attribution of the attack to them was false and hasty.

The TRF called the earlier claim "unauthorised". It said that the digital channels of the group had been compromised.

Denying the involvement, the group further blamed Indian intelligence for the earlier claim and said it was "part of an orchestrated campaign to malign the Kashmiri resistance."

"Any attribution of this act to TRF is false, hasty, and part of an orchestrated campaign to malign the Kashmiri resistance," the TRF posted on X.

It added, "Shortly after the attack in Pahalgam, a brief and unauthorised message was posted from one of our digital platforms. After an internal audit, we have reason to believe it was the result of a coordinated cyber intrusion - a familiar tactic in the Indian state’s digital warfare arsenal."

The Pahalgam terror attack considered one of the deadliest attacks in J&K since the 2019 Pulwama attack, claimed the lives of 28 Indians following an open fire by the Resistance Force (TRF), a local offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba on April 22.
