Digital Desk: In a gruesome murder in Khatribari village, under the Runikhata police station of the India-Bhutan border in Chirang, an elderly woman lost her life after being attacked by her grandson. 


The 80-year-old woman, Joba Hembram, was killed by her grandson following a heated argument at their residence.


The dispute reportedly escalated over chicken meat, leading Thoma Tudu (35), to strike his grandmother on the head, causing severe injuries.


Later, the family rushed her to JSB Civil Hospital in Kajalgaon with the help of the police.


However, she succumbed to her injuries, and the on-duty doctor declared her dead.
