Digital Desk: A notorious cybercriminal, Sirajul Islam, has been successfully apprehended in Lahorighat by a team of Kerala Police with the assistance of Superintendent of Police in Morigaon's Lahorighat, Diganta Baruah.
Sirajul Islam has a history of repeated incarcerations for similar crimes. He and his associates were involved in embezzling Rs 27 crore from Kerala's Federal Bank.
Following the arrest, police conducted a raid at Sirajul's residence, where they confiscated luxury vehicles and uncovered substantial assets belonging to the accused.
The extent of Sirajul Islam's wealth left the authorities stunned, with Rs 4 crore reportedly siphoned into his personal account.
It is worth noting that Lahorighat's Lengribori Saharia village harbors several high-profile cybercriminals who continue to roam freely despite engaging in similar offenses.
