The tri-services operation, conducted jointly by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, targeted terror camps linked to several banned terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Digital Desk: At least 70 terrorists were killed in an operation carried out by Indian armed forces in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the early hours of Wednesday.

The 'Operation Sindoor', which lasted just 25 minutes, was launched under the cover of darkness in a significant response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

The tri-services operation, conducted jointly by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, targeted terror camps linked to several banned terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

India used 'Loitering Munitions', or Kamikaze Drone, to strike 9 terror bases, a weapon with a warhead that is typically designed to loiter until a target is located, then crash into it.

However, Islamabad said that the strike killed 26 civilians and injured 46 others.

After the operation, reactions from Indian leaders in the nation have started pouring in. Several political leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Rahul Gandhi, Smriti Irani, Yogi Adityanath, and several others reacted strongly and lauded Indian Army.

After India launched airstrikes targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK under 'Operation Sindoor', Pakistan's Prime Minister has issued a sharp response, calling it an 'act of war' and warning of retaliation.
