During the operation, five persons were apprehended.

Digital Desk: Today,  based on confidential information, police officers led by ACP Azara conducted a police raid at Itabhatta, Dhirenpara under Fatasil Ambari Police Station about illegal gambling activities (Teer) there today. During the raid, police arrested five individuals who operated as part of the gambling racket. 

Arrested  Individuals:-

Dipak Das (30), son of late Anil Das, from Dhirenpara, Chilaraipath.
Abdul Melek (30), son of Azizur Akman, from Barshapara, Masjid Galli.
Ghanshyam Pathak (41), son of late Maniram Pathak, from Barshapara, B/L-06.
Surender Mahato (46), son of late Sikhar Mahato, from Itabhatta near Shiv Mandir, Dhirenpara.
Biju Deb (47), son of late Manik Lal Deb, from Bhoothnath Bazar, under Bharalumukh PS.

Seized Items:-
Four mobile phones and one PhonePe scanner
18 bundles of blank Teer ticket books
₹3,600 in cash
The recovered gambling materials included a stapler combined with Flair SRX pen as well as Kores carbon copy book and a commercial calculator.
Two purses (one brown, one black)

 The police have already started court proceedings while extra investigations continue.  Moreover, it have intensified their efforts to curb illegal gambling in the city.
