Digital Desk: The Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi begins her two-day visit to Assam with a series of high-level meetings and organisational activities in Guwahati on the first day of her tour.
According to her schedule, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is set to arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at 10:00 am. She will then visit the revered Kamakhya Temple at around 11:15 am to offer prayers.
Thereafter, she is scheduled to reach Rajiv Bhawan at 12:00 pm, where she will hold a meeting with the Screening Committee. At 12:45 pm, she will chair a meeting of the Political Affairs Department as part of her official engagements in Assam.
At 1:45 pm, she will meet the four working presidents of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) to discuss party strategies and organisational matters.
Later in the afternoon, at 3 pm, she will attend a programme at Manabendra Sharma Complex, where the APCC releases a chargesheet highlighting alleged corruption by the BJP-led state government.
She will also hold a meeting with 21 Congress MLAs in the evening. From 5 pm to 9 pm, she will interact with 35 district presidents of the party to strengthen grassroots coordination.
The day will concludes with meeting from 9 pm to 10 pm with representatives of the party’s four frontal organisations and the Leader of the Opposition, as part of efforts to consolidate the party’s structure ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state.
