Digital Desk: The much-awaited teaser of Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, was unveiled on 2nd April during a grand launch event, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti.
Following the teaser release, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi began trending on X (formerly Twitter), with fans expressing excitement and admiration for the film’s first glimpse. Audience have particularly praised Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, is yet to have her look revealed by the makers.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film also features Yash in a menacing portrayal of Ravana. The music for the film is composed by acclaimed artists Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, promising a grand cinematic experience.
The teaser, with a runtime of 2 minutes and 38 seconds, has received a ‘U’ certificate, making it suitable for audiences of all age groups. So far, the makers have adopted a restrained promotional strategy, releasing only select content, including an announcement video and Ramayana: The Introduction, which offered a glimpse into the film’s characters.
The introduction clip highlighted the filmmakers’ vision of presenting the epic with utmost reverence and respect, describing it as a collaboration of some of the world’s best talents.
Planned as a two-part epic, Ramayana is set for a global release, with Part 1 scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 expected to follow in Diwali 2027.
